Palm Valley Outfitters is a new kind of hunting & fishing travel company specializing in off the beaten track adventures.  PVO utilizes unique industry relationships, technology and years of field knowledge, to provide unique, memorable hunting & fishing experiences. We are regularly fly fishing the lower laguna madre in south texas for redfish & speckled trout from South Bay to the Port Mansfield Channel to the Land Cut. As often as possible we are in the Yucatan, Ascension & Espiritu Santo Bay, chasing bonefish, permit, tarpon & snook.

Lower Laguna Madre is blessed with pristine, crystal clear waters and lots of fish.  Fly fisherman will marvel at over 268 sq miles of 2 1/2 feet of water surrounded by wilderness.  If you have never been, you would have never guessed just how awesome the shallow water fishing is in south Texas.  Only a few miles from the Mexico border, we enjoy a warm tropical climate, palm trees, white sand and real margaritas.  Come on down and see for yourself.  If you have been, then you know... give us a call and we will match you with the best guide & dates available. Standard day rates are as published:

Fly Fishing or Light Tackle Spin
Limit 2 Anglers per boat
Full Day $500 per day *Includes boat lunch, beverages & beer
Half Day $400 per day

Sightcasting from the bow of a customized Texas flats skiff while a professional fly fishing guide poles and positions the boat all while scanning for fish.  Light tackle spinning gear works exceptionally well.

Drift fishing, blind casting, wade fishing techniques are all available to the bay fishing guide.  Wadefishing and chucking big topwaters is one of the best way to catch a trophy speckled trout.  Drift fishing allows anglers to cover ground quickly all while scanning and casting for redfish, trout and flounder.  At times the fish settle it to deep holes and channels, blind casting these areas can be a very productive way to catch your limit.

Our specialty is fly fishing for bonefish, permit, tarpon & snook in Ascension Bay, Laguna Santa Rosa & Espiritu Santo Bay.  Our passion is hunting south Texas for white winged dove, quail, ducks, nilgai, deer, pigs & javelina.  Fly fishing for redfish, speckled trout, texas tarpon & texas snook in the Lower Laguna Madre is what we do for fun.

The PVO outfitting shop is located on the banks of the Arroyo Colorado in Harlingen, Texas about 12 miles from the Mexico border.  Everyone is welcome to come on by for a visit.  We stock a small selection of Costa Del Mar, Flying Fisherman, Temple Fork and manufacturer direct & used products.  At times we have complete fly rod & reel combos, flies and kayaks on the shop floor.  Call us to find out what is currrently on display -  (956) 428-5666

*We can easily handle South Texas Dove Hunts for large groups 100 or more hunters.  We have all the accommodations, the services, the transportation and dove fields.  Group dove hunts available.
