Lower Laguna Madre Estuary Fishing
- Drift Fishing The most popular way of fishing is with spinning or bait casting gear, from boats slowly drifting across mostly clear water casting at fish, sand & grass potholes for redfish & speckled trout.
- Fly Fishing A highly specialized style of fishing. Limited to 2 anglers per boat, the guide will typically pole the boat into position in order to give fly casters an opportunity to sightcast to speckled trout & redfish in shallow clear water. A double haul cast is necessary to be truly effective.
- Wade Fishing Is extremely popular with anglers who like to get into nature. Walk the hard pack sand of the flats in search of redfish, trout and flounder. An effort that requires a reasonable amount of physical fitness.
- Kayak Fishing Paddling the shallow waters of the Lower Laguna Madre is the excellent way to explore the back country waters not accessible by motor boat. Participants will need to be in great shape. We offer boat shuttles to get paddlers to orgination points not typically accessible by paddlers.
